In this episode and the next, we (Sydney & Josh) explore  reasons for truth claims in the LDS church (and other spaces). We discuss the human tendency towards certainty, scarcity, and inflexibility when it comes to truth and belief systems. Having been deeply involved in the LDS church for the majority of our lives to this point, we understand the intensity of this conversation, and respect other perspectives. We recognize that we all to some degree tend toward meaning-making and viewing our opinions as correct, and venture to create a space where we can discuss our shifts in perspective and support others in the shifts they’re feeling internally called to.
