Listen "STUDIES: Prevent and Manage Chronic Low Back Pain Successfully"
Episode Synopsis
Nearly everyone will experience lower back pain at some point. Proper management of acute episodes can prevent the onset of chronic pain. Proper management means following the guidelines, yet the research says practitioners in the US often use standalone steroids, surgical referrals, and opioid medications in non-concordant care. What are the guidelines? Are you compliant? If your patients are already dealing with chronic pain, how can you manage their cases successfully? When non-drug therapies like laser therapy are provided, patients will be at much lower risk of alcohol and substance abuse, less suicidal ideation and attempts, and improved quality of life.
