Boos echo through the ballroom at the Marriott in Bridgewater when Jack Ciattarelli took the stage for his concession speech Tuesday, announcing that he called to congratulate Democrat Mikie Sherrill on her election win for governor of New Jersey. This was Ciatarrelli's third straight run for governor, who called Donald Trump unfit to be president in 2015, didn't campaign with Trump when he lost by just 3 points to Gov. Phil Murphy in 2021, but then, with Trump's success in two elections, Ciatarrelli changed his tune and got endorsed by Trump this time around.
