Back when I was still studying drums, I had to practice ‘Rudimentsʼ on the snaredrum to improve my chops. Exercises in technique which had to be practiced to perfection.

I donʼt play the drums anymore, in part because as an artist I feel a constant need to reinvent myself. And as Iʼm doing this, iʼm creating new rudiments to practice.

In this way Rudiments are a crucial part of my creative cycle. This song is in honour of Rudiments.
