Today’s culture has a tendency to think of ethics as an evolving notion. As civilisations have progressed, our morals have constantly evolved in an upward trajectory. If that were the case then we would have nothing to learn from the way of Jesus. However, the reality is that the model and example of Jesus is the climactic moment in all of human history. It doesn’t take a long look to conclude that the treatment of women in today’s society isn’t flourishing.
