DJ Marmar Tha Midboss) of LAG Radio interviews HYPERLOCK, a multi genre DJ and music producer based in Los Angeles, California, drawing inspiration from a plethora of electronic music found in the Japanese doujinshi music scene as well as his own homegrown roots within the Western electronic music scene. Over the course of making music, HYPERLOCK has crafted for himself a style of sound that can be described as energetic and euphoric and has experimented in genres from Progressive House, Trance, to UK Hardcore, and has worked with various music outlets from different DAWs to software such as Vocaloid and SynthV. This is best reflected in his works from singles to EP projects as well as a magnitude of remixes and bootlegs of other music he enjoys. When DJing, he aims to create a live experience that is both energetic and emotional, combining a variety of styles and genres seamlessly for events such as Anime Expo and Digital Stars @ MIKU EXPO 2024 in the United States as well as in events hosted in prominent clubs such as Circus Tokyo and Akihabara MOGRA in Japan. He is also the founder of APEXA RECORDS, a multi-genre label project focusing on the sounds of the net worldwide and beyond.
