The Retake is an ensemble of Northern Colorado musicians heavily influenced by hip hop, next wave soul, Latin rhythms, and jazz.  All coming from larger Fort Collins-based bands/musical groups (Salsa Forte, Fort Collins Wind Symphony, Girls on Top!, Funky Business, 12 Cents for Marvin, and Choice City Seven among others), this group wanted to challenge themselves in different ways musically and take some risks. Their sound is inspired by bands like Moonchild, Robert Glasper, Hiatus Kaiyote, Cory Wong, and Nubiyan Twist.  The Retake is: Rachael Dhakal-Green - vocals, Hilary Freeman - bass, Logan Doddridge - drums, Corry Peterson - trumpet, Dave Lunn - saxaphone, and Sean Jaster - keyboard
