We all know the feeling: we walk into the meeting, the classroom, the get-together and think, "How long until they know I'm fraud?" That inner critic loves to tell you that you're not good enough, not strong enough, not smart enough, not Godly enough. Imposter syndrome is that self-doubt that causes us to shrink back and miss out on the great things God has for us. This is not a new phenomenon. In the New Testament, we see that Timothy struggled with imposter syndrome and in 2 Timothy 2, Paul writes to Timothy and offers an antidote. But the word of God is not bound! 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 11 The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him; 12 if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us; 13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.
