Though we certainly should learn from the fiasco of the last few years, we must not allow fear to become our “new normal.” If we allow it, fear can easily infiltrate our thinking and successfully rewire how we approach Scripture and faith in God. We must not allow anything to exalt itself over the Word of God. Cast down the imaginations, thoughts, activities, and speeches that have their purpose in manipulating, short-circuiting, redirecting, or diverting our focus from Jesus.
