English Meaning = in a village, there lived a family living in happiness. The family had a beautiful daughter named Bawang Putih . But, all that happiness has ended, The family’s mother passed away because of sickness. After the mother’s death, Bawang Putih helped her dad to clean the house. I miss mom. said Bawang Putih. soon, the dad married a rich woman. And Bawang Putih had a new older sibling named Bawang Merah. When the father wanted to work in a faraway place, The stepmother and Bawang Merah told Bawang Putih angrily to do house chores . One day, The stepmother told Bawang Putih to wash the clothes in the river. Oh no! Bawang Merah’s clothes are on the river! And they’re floating away! When a old lady grabbed the clothes, excuse me grandma, that’s my stepsister’s clothes. Please , give it back. said Bawang Putih. If you want the clothing back, please stay with me for a week and help me do house chores. Bawang Putih agreed to do the grandma’s order. When Bawang Putih was doing the chores, She was full of energy. She was Happy to do the sweeping floor , washing clothes and cooking. When it is the end of the week, the Grandma prepared two pumpkins for Bawang Putih to bring home. Bawang Putih you can bring one of the pumpkins home. Said the grandma. I’ll pick the small one grandma. Said Bawang Putih. When she opened the pumpkin , there were many jewels inside! Huft! I want jewels too! Said Bawang Merah. Bawang Putih told Bawang Merah where she got the jewels. When Bawang Merah went to the grandma’s house, she picked the big pumpkin because she thinks there are lot of jewels inside. When she opened the pumpkin there were snakes! The Snakes bite Bawang Merah and the Stepmother. The end! |The moral of the story: don’t tell your family members what to do when you’re angry!
