Peter Beck is a New Zealand entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Rocket Lab, a private American aerospace manufacturer and small satellite launch service provider. Beck was born in 1977 in New Zealand and began his career as an apprentice at Fisher & Paykel Appliances.
In 2006, he founded Rocket Lab with the goal of providing affordable access to space for small satellites. Under Beck's leadership, Rocket Lab has become a leading provider of commercial small satellite launch services, and the company has launched more than 100 satellites into orbit. In addition to his work at Rocket Lab, Beck has also been recognized for his contributions to the aerospace industry and has received several awards and honors, including the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2017.
