This week, Emma and I continued with the 36 Questions That Lead to Love and sat with two prompts that pulled us in different directions—one light and affirming, the other deeply reflective:
28) Tell your partner what you like about them; be very honest this time, saying things that you might not say to someone you’ve just met.
29) Share with your partner an embarrassing moment in your life.
It was so surprising challenging ourselves to find ways to affirm and complement each other on things that are often not said or brought up and it really enabled such a nuanced perspective in how we view parts of each other. This episode also pushed us to unpack some of our most significant embarrassing childhood memories and how, even years later, they still ripple through the way we see ourselves.
