Episode Synopsis

Episode 37 of Jonny's Secret Stash featuring Bill Bielby, bass player and founding member of the Newports.  Bill and friends formed The Newports in 1961 while Bill was in 8th grade in the South Suburbs of Chicago.  In 2014, after a long career in academia and sociology, Bill and friends "got the band back together" and have been kicking butt ever since (except for the pause created by the COVID-19 pandemic). Check them out at the Acorn Theater on July 3, 2020!
