Listen "Demonstrating shakuhachi-style flutes"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode, I demonstrate three bamboo flutes inspired by the Japanese end blown notch flute called the "shakuhachi." A flute of this kind has a specially formed and shaped mouthpiece, as well as four finger holes and a thumb hole. I am not too familiar with Japanese music. Any tunes I play are original and improvised. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
