Send us a textBible reading: Acts 2:1-13 NIV Today, we discuss the Pentecost! Where the Holy Spirit descended on the disciples. By the baptism, they saw what seemed to look like tongues of fire that separated and rested on each of them. And then they began speaking in other tongues (languages) as the Holy Spirit enables them. This is honestly so fascinating to me. When I was recording this podcast. I realised something. - Why did the Holy Spirit first manifest to the disciples and apostles by the ability to speak in other languages? Because it was a clear sign of the extent of their ministry and exactly what they needed to be able to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth! This is why me and you know the gospel today.! Just imagine that the disciples and apostles could not speak in other languages! 🤔 How far will the gospel have spread? The disciples had been with Jesus, taught by Him, dined with Him, prayed with Him, preached the gospel, saw the miracles they had been preparing to being their apostolic  ministry! What did they need. The Holy Spirit! The importance of the Holy Spirit to their various ministries can not be over emphasised. He was there helping them through and to ensure we know the gospel today and by the way He first manifested it was clear to them He knew exactly what they needed. I am just so amazed at how God equips us with  exactly what we need, when we do, even when we do not even know we need it! 😀 Cos how will the disciples have been able to know they needed the Holy Spirit and how much they needed Him? How would they have gone through their ministries without Him? If it was not God that knows the end from the beginning?!God can be trusted! God can be trusted! He knows exactly what you need even when you don’t know you need it! Like I said yesterday diligence pays. These apostles and disciples were Diligent! And now to equip them for the next stage they were baptised with the Holy Spirit! So be rest assured. God got you! God knows exactly what you need, when you need it, in the way you need it and the time you need it. He has where at the goal post already.
