There are so many believers these days that want a real touch from heaven, and many do receive it. The inclination is to want to hold onto that time the powerful presence of the Lord came upon them. How He filled them up with flowing eternal waters from heaven, enveloping them with a love not of this world. These very real experiences are so intensely profound, that many try to keep that powerful experience alive.
They try to recreate the moment, the mood and essence. They return to that same place wherever it may be in hope they will re-experience it. But mostly they never do, so they keep going back to that same earthly place, but it is empty. You see these experiences from the Lord are so powerful that they are not given often for good reason. If the saints were visited like that all the time, it would ruin them, and it already has. And because of this there are millions of Christians who want only spiritual, supernatural experiences all the time and nothing else. It is as if nothing can be done without always having to hear a word from another person, or from Jesus Himself. They spend half of their earthly lives waiting around for a word, a vision, a prophecy spoken over them before they will move. All the while the gift in them is never given away.
I fully believe in every gift of the Holy Spirit, and so does the enemy. This is a warning born in love towards everyone who will hear. Be careful that none of you live a life in Christ always seeking for a place, or sensation or you will regrettably waste your precious life here on earth. Live your life in the Spirit of the Living God who dwells within you richly and freely, "for you walk by faith and not by sight." You are meant to touch other lives everyday with full power in the love of Jesus Christ. His power of love, joy, healing and comfort will flow from you as His vessel of honor. Be careful what you hang your armor on!
