La Movida, the artists and the music that changed Spain (1978 - 1983). 

This programme is a particular story, my vision of a time when the young people in Spain took over after the dictator's death. It, maybe, is an innocent account. Of course, the young did not take power. But without their artistic contribution, modern Spain would not have happened so fast. Music was the language in the creation of a new Spain. "La Movida" was enthusiastic, creative, irreverent and exuberant as never seen before. It happened in Madrid as well as all around the country. The Spanish capital was the epicentre of this new young artist movement. 

I am very grateful for the help provided by Rae Donaldson, a good friend as passionate about music as myself. Rae is from a very musical city in the UK, Manchester. His insight into music scenes produced (before the internet) has been priceless in correcting and making suggestions to my original text.
