Listen "Foster Care Awareness: A Call for Help"
Episode Synopsis
Kate Dickinson
Kate Dickinson writes children’s books using her experience as a nurse who sees children wrestle with complicated emotions. Kate has always loved to tell stories, and she appreciates a wild imagination and the creative arts. During her years working in hospice, Dickinson witnessed the grief of many families who lost loved ones. Seeing very little in the children’s book market to address this need, she felt the need to write stories that would help children wrestling with these complex emotions and fear. When she isn’t writing books, Kate spends time working with models, agents and publisher in the fashion industry and with local news outlets. She was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI.
