Listen "Reacting Vs. Responding (Mental Note)"
Episode Synopsis
Do you have a habit of responding or reacting? It is human nature to have an immediate reaction (positive or negative) to what is happening or being said around us. However, there are times that we need to learn how to RESPOND to a situation instead of simply reacting to it. For this week’s mental note I share with you a little exercise that I recommend that helps train your brain to slow down and gives you the power to CHOOSE how you are going to respond. This is a common communication issue that many of us face, but we can be proactive and retrain our brains to respond in the way that we choose. We would love to hear your thoughts! Do you have a habit of responding or reacting? What have you found that helps you? What do you think about the stoplight method that was suggested in today’s episode?
