In 1997, I began a Gospel Mixtape series called "The Shorty B Gospel Show". This mixtape series contained the latest and greatest in Urban Gospel Music, expertly mixed by myself, DJ Shorty B. In 1999, I began a Mixtape Series called "Inspirations on Wax". Inspirations on Wax contained classic and cutting edge Gospel and Inspirational House and Dance Music. The Name Inspirations on Wax came when I was stationed in Germany in the late 90s. I was playing one of my Gospel House Mixes in the maintenance shop I worked in, and one of my Soldiers said "Mann, this mix is pretty Inspirational". Since I was using vinyl Records (wax) to make the mixes, the series name "Inspirations on Wax" was born. The Inspirations on Wax Mixtape Series, as well as the Shorty B Gospel Show were the soundtrack to many church picnics, Gospel aerobics sessions, and Gospel skate parties. Both of these series were well received all throughout my military travels around the world. This podcast is a revival of the "Shorty B Gospel Show" and "Inspirations on Wax (IOW)" Mixtape series' for all to enjoy digitally today. The original mixes were recorded on cassette tapes and later on CDR (Recordable CDs) and Multitrack recorder...The plan is to post some of the old classic mixes along with the new content. If these mixes bless you, please like, share and subscribe.
