Listen "Stephen Bates, J.D."
Episode Synopsis
In this episode, hosts Kevin and Dave welcome professor Stephen Bates to the Inside JMS studio. Stephen chats about how his experience going head-to-head with his local school board over the First Amendment rights of students -- as a high schooler himself -- influenced his decision to go to law school. He also talks about his work studying the Hutchins Commission and the recent book he authored on the subject published by the Yale University Press. Finally, we hear about some of Stephen's favorite films, and how in his first semester of college he watched five movies-a-week at the historic Harvard Square Theater.
