Women in Aviation Alamo City, is celebrating it’s 10th Anniversary this year. It’s mission, to encourage women to seek opportunities in aviation and aerospace through mentorship, networking, resources, and other tools. We discussed the reason behind the organization and the challenges that face girls and women seeking to get into aviation. We discussed the importance of mentorships to help these girls and women to not only consider aviation but to thrive in the field when they get there. We also discussed the challenge of educating families about the opportunities for women and girls in aviation.
