When Joe Biden was first elected as a Senator from Delaware in 1972, he was one of the youngest in American history to occupy this office. Today, as he runs for President, he is one of the oldest to do so. Between these milestones, he served six terms as Senator and went on to become Vice President under Mr Obama's Presidency in 2008.As things stand, Mr Biden is the favoured candidate. He has well-formulated views on many important issues such as foreign affairs and economic policy, many of which differ from the paradigm currently followed by the US administration.
