Listen "#52 | Two fearless Moms fight sparked by Father Geoff Drew's rape conviction"
Episode Synopsis
Father Geoff Drew is spending 7 years in prison for raping a child before he became a priest. My guests are two women who had close contact with then-Father Drew. This arrest and conviction enraged Teresa Dinwiddie-Herrmann whose child went to the Cincinnati parochial school Drew oversaw. Rebecca Surrendorff joined the grass-roots movement to investigate Ohio's laws concerning sexual abuse, reporting it, and found the statute of limitations protects the offenders, not the victims. They're working as Ohioans for Child Protection, to get the laws changed in Ohio to close loopholes, improve communication and protect all children from grooming and predators.
