Listen "# 131 | Get the lead out! Lead paint dangers in the home - PWC's Whole Home Innovation Center"
Episode Synopsis
As humans, we learn from our mistakes, and one big one - was putting lead in paint. The chemical made paint durable, quick drying, and provided vibrant colors, but as the 20th century rolled on, more and more children were diagnosed with neuroglocial and developmental problems that eventually were tracked down to lead paint exposure. So lead was banned, but every house built before 1978 had lead paint. Even today, the effects of lead paint chipping, creating dust and damaging children continues. My guest today is Aaron Grant, with People Working Cooperatively's Whole Home Innovation center, which targets this issue and helps people get the lead out of their living spaces.
