Episode Synopsis

In this episode we examine the first piece of furniture in The Holy Place: The Golden Lampstand.Only the priest was allowed in the Holy Place. God’s presence was visible there with the Altar of Incense. The Golden Lampstand was on the left when you entered the Holy Place. It had seven golden lamps with flowers and bowls of hammered gold.Exodus 25:31-40It had 7 branches with ornamental knobs and flowers – made of one piece. Four of the blossoms were like almond blossoms. It was the only light in the entire apartment – and it burned continually. The light symbolized the Holy Spirit and only the High Priest could light the candles if needed in the morning and evening during the daily service. The light was kept burning to symbolize keeping God in the minds of the people. Today, the golden lampstand can be seen in the Menorah, the candlestand used during the Jewish holiday Hannukah. The lampstand represents Christ as the light of the world, providing light into people's lives daily and lighting up their pathway to salvation.Send us a textIgniting the Gospel is hosted by Pastor Damon Snead and Danielle Clark and produced by Rex Morris as a ministry of the Conroe Seventh Day Adventist Church in Conroe, TX.Check out our full Show Notes at:Igniting The Gospel Podcastwww.conroesda.net/igniting-the-gospel-podcastHave questions or comments?
