Use Google Earth, and locate Tambora and rotate that until it is about where the North pole should be. This I think will be the new orientation of the world.
Spin the globe side ways to look at where the new equator is, and also check out where you currently live is located in this orientation.
I think the odd plate in Africa https://www.gfz-potsdam.de/en/media-and-communication/news/details/article/why-the-victoria-plate-in-africa-rotates/ is a safe(r) place to be near during the cataclysm.
