Maria Tsavachidis is the CEO of the EIT Urban Mobility, the largest European initiative transforming urban mobility and a European knowledge and innovation community to accelerate the transition towards sustainable urban mobility and livable urban spaces. Before joining the European Institute for Innovation and Technology in 2018, she was responsible for Innovation at Siemens for more than 20 years in varying positions. She started her career as a researcher in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems and holds a Ph.D. in traffic engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
Marco te Brömmelstroet is a well-known and widely respected Professor in Urban Mobility Futures at the University of Amsterdam. In his home country, the Netherlands, he also owns a bike shop and the non-profit foundation “The Lab of Thought”, a platform and think tank with the goal of revolutionizing the mobility sector on a global scale. In his teachings and endeavors, he’s a strong defender of education as key to a movement toward a greener future.
