On this week's episode of I Was Thinking, we have our very first guest! Simone's best friend since childhood, Macy, joins the hosts as they talk about their adventure of getting into K-pop. This is very important because Macy is a very important factor in Simone's journey. Since K-pop and certain K-pop groups will come up throughout the podcast randomly, they thought it would be best to share their stories of how they discovered the genre. Tell us your Kpop journey and if there are any groups, old or new, that you think Nafees, Simone and Macy should check out. 
***Towards the end of the podcast, things get a little real as Simone takes some time to talk about her feelings and things she has noticed as a black K-pop fan in the messy year of 2020. All of her criticism is towards K-pop and American entertainment companies only and hopefully, she is able to get her point across even though there are some times she may have misspoke (like when she says we but shes mostly talking about herself or her group of friends that she's discussed these issues with in-person).  Nonetheless, these are just her feelings and opinions on things that affect her personally. 
The moral of the story of this episode is to enjoy whatever it is that makes you happy and don't let anyone try to shame you for trying to find joy in this crazy circus we call life, especially if you are black because we already go through so much stress in life.
