In an isolated and strange world, the native peoples of Cronulla cry out for the elusive trophy of power (NRL premiership). Can a partnership with another tribe from outside their world help them achieve this?
In this episode of the NRL Irrational Mergers mini series I am joined by Terry from the Fins Up podcast. The year is 1998, the newly formed NRL set out to reduce clubs to reach the magic number of 14 by 2000. The criteria is set and the 12 Sydney and Illawarra clubs are offered $8M and other exemptions to make mergers happen. We examine the possible choices for merger partners for the Sharks.
