As preschoolers and kids learn that we are made for community, this week they will learn that God values us. In our Bible story, some Pharisees (religious leaders) were upset because Jesus was welcoming sinners and eating with them. Jesus told two stories (one about a lost sheep and one about a lost coin) to teach that God values everyone. In both stories, someone searched for what was lost and celebrated when it was found. Preschoolers and kids can know that God seeks after everyone and invites everyone to know and love Him. We don’t have to do anything or be anyone special.
