CEO Shim Mi-hyun makes children swimsuits using eco-friendly materials. Four years ago, she witnessed her son, who had started swimming, get injured from the seams of his swimsuit. Despite her searching, she was unable to find swimsuits that are seamless. Knowing that there were no swimsuits made with the cares from a mother’s heart, she decided to make them herself. She went through many trials and errors, but with her passionate and positive personality, she received help from people around her and created the brand she has today. The word ‘Vellong’ in Watervellong means ‘shine’ in Jeju language, and with a hope that children’s dreams will shine, she continues to make swimsuits.
