Listen "Kim Young-soo Library Friends, Representative Shin In-gi"
Episode Synopsis
For 10 years, she worked as a middle and high school teacher in Jeju and Seoul, and after giving birth, worked as an English and essay writing instructor. While volunteering as a librarian at her first child’s school, she developed an interest in school libraries. Coincidentally, while participating in community activist training at the Urban Regeneration Support Center, it led her to establish a non-profit organization called ‘Kim Young-soo Library Friends’. The group not only assist in expanding school libraries into village libraries but also develop various book programs and give lectures at schools. Her aspiration is to see more school libraries transform into village libraries and make libraries into a place where children grow into good adults.
