Upper Hudson Peace Action held its yearly gathering on Sunday, November 9. The event, titled RESISTING TYRANNY: Grounding Courage in Community, featured a panel discussion, music by the Solidarity Singers, and the presentation of the second annual Pat Beetle Award for a lifelong commitment to working for peace. This year, the award went to local lawyer and activist Mark Mishler. His acceptance speech is excerpted here.
