Listen "John 18-19: The Trials"
Episode Synopsis
We saw last week that when Jesus and the disciples were partaking of the last supper, they were doing so celebrating The Passover. This is the largest national holiday for the Jewish people. At this time there was normally a population of about 400,000 that lived within Jerusalem...but during Passover, scholars believe there would be about 2.5 million people in town for the celebration. Now, this was a big holiday, but it was also normally a time of tension and unrest. Why? Because, what are they celebrating during the Passover? Mainly, the Exodus from Egypt.
