Myers Beach, it was obvious that the power grid would not be able to handle the destruction. Buildings were flattened, and trees and power poles were flung into the sky. The Category 4 storm cut off power to thousands in its path.Lack of power and potable water were just two signs of tribulation for the area residents. But what many, who had experienced hurricanes before knew, was that they had another power source on which to lean. God was walking with them and would provide the power needed to make it through the storm, as well as the days ahead. God promises to be with us during these difficult times — and he will see us through whatever storm crosses our paths.
