How can we, as Christians, “Prepare for God’s arrival!” (Isaiah 40:3-5)? John the Baptist was preparing the way for Jesus. You and I can help to prepare the way also. Those of us who have been on this earthly journey for a while and love the Lord have a heavenly responsibility. We can show how to love and build each other up in the faith. Show by actions, equipping others to mentor, encourage, help, and listen by spending time in the Word. Throughout my lifetime, God’s Word has taught me howto love and build others up in our Christian faith. I have also found that while mentoring, I have gained courage and realize that God has given me a full God-centered life that I want and need to follow. Are you prepared?
