Dr. David Jerome's new book, "Bill Virdon: A Life in Baseball" is about Bill Virdon, the National League Rookie of the Year in 1955 and a fixture as the Pittsburgh Pirate outfield for a decade. Later, Virdon served as a coach and manager in the big leagues. From 1975 until 1982, Virdon managed the Houston Astros, leading the team to its first divisional title in 1980. We're joined in the interview by Virdon's widow, Shirley who shared some special memories of her favorite ballpark and how she met Bill.
