It is known the media often pokes fun at Catholicism and portrays it in a negative way, like nuns being mean. This is true and there are examples of it we discuss. However, in looking at the overall picture, it does not appear to be as bad as you think. Looking at major movies, there actually are a good number of instances where movies match up with Catholic teaching in underlying ways and show characters seeing the Church as an essential and important party. There are also examples in TV and one you may not have thought of Bollywood.
