Listen "Lessons Learned: Navigating Tensions, Affirming Community, Pt. 2"
Episode Synopsis
During this episode of Holding Space, Dr. Joan Collier, Dr. Crystal Bedley, and Kaylin Padovano reflect on the 'Navigating Tensions, Affirming Communities' Speaker Series, which helped launch our campaign to 'Meet the Moment with Humanity.' Each guest lecturer spoke to a critical element of community building, from rejecting polarization to respecting everyone's inherent dignity. In times of tension, being able to engage across differences can ultimately help us approach difficult dialogue with curiosity and compassion.
For reference, we encourage you to watch Kazu Haga's talk on rejecting polarization, Donna Hicks' talk on dignity and respect, Daryl Davis' talk on conversations that ignite change, and Susan Benesch's talk on dangerous speech.
