Holding Hope

Por: Megan Galles, Rachel Gilbert, Jessica Robles, Kristin Taveira, Gena VanderMeulen
Holding Hope is a podcast for parents, educators, and anyone else supporting someone with ADHD. The show is presented in two recordings. The first is a short introduction to our group and topic, and provides a brief overview of the ADHD brain: how it processes information, how it gives rise to unique strengths and challenges, and how these can impact success in the classroom, workplace, and beyond. The second features an interview with ADHD expert Dr. Tamara Rosier. Our purpose is to highlight how a deficit-focused approach to managing ADHD can fall short—or even cause harm—and to explore what becomes possible when we partner with students to create safe environments and build the resilience needed to access and develop their individual strengths.
