If we want to move away from being a relatively powerless church, to the church the Jesus said He was building, then we have to recognize the limitations that come when you squash the Holy Spirit. The truth is we have somewhat limited imaginations of what God can do and it's unfortunate that we imagine that we are stronger on our own than we are when we are empowered by the Spirit of God."But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”Acts 1:8
