Babylon is a counterfeit kingdom.The Babylonian spirit is a demonic counterfeit spirit to the kingdom of God. The storyline of the Bible is that whatever God creates, Satan counterfeits. Satan sought to topple God as king and to establish a counterfeit kingdom. He and his fallen angels lost that battle, and since then, he seeks to establish wicked and demonic systems to keep people in bondage. The Babylonian spirit has its foundation in pride, self worship and pleasure. It is a demonic spirit that is at work in every culture, in every nation, in every age. But we can break its hold on the minds of people, and its grip of power in the places we live, by exalting the Lord to the highest place of honor and worship that He deserves. '"After this time had passed, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven.
