What did Jesus come to do? Unless you slow down and listen to the words of Jesus you are likely to answer that question incorrectly. Just like Jesus' disciples we are prone to filter what Jesus is saying through our preconceived ideas of what He came to do. Consequently we sometimes completely miss the important message He is teaching. Join us as we look at this passage from Matthew 20:17-34 where Jesus clearly communicates His death and resurrection, and yet His disciples are preoccupied with the thought of attaining powerful positions for themselves.
