People find all kinds of reasons to disbelieve that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, God the Son, and Savior. Unbelief, however, doesn’t change the facts. Jesus is who is He. These days there are people who claim that they are ready to believe in Him as a good teacher, a prophet, a good man, or even a historical figure. But Jesus demands more than this. In His confrontation with the Jewish Leadership, Jesus turns the tables on His accusers and calls a number of witnesses to testify against them in their own figurative trial: John the Baptist, the Miracles He performs, the voice of God at His baptism and ultimately the Scriptures in the form of the Law of Moses… leaving them with little wiggle room.
