There’s nothing wrong with bifurcating composing songs and singing them into separate tasks performed by separate people. But something very special happens when those two talents are brought together and the artist who wrote the song also sings it. In these instances the listener experiences something personal, direct and uniquely communicative. Today’s guests, Marvin Payne and Tricia Storey accomplish this task as singer/songwriters that have been making music separately (and occasionally together) for almost 3 decades.
Tricia Storey performed for a decade at The Tree Room at Robert Redford’s Sundance Resort; and has performed on Utah’s best stages including Abravanel Hall and the Tuacahn Amphitheater in Saint George. 
Marvin Payne is an actor, author and playwright. He’s released more than a dozen albums with his latest being “Roses and Hope.” In the early days of his career he wore out two Ford vans crisscrossing the US on solo tour. He also sang impromptu house concerts which earned him the nickname “door-to-door troubadour.” Marvin's sons join him in performing: Joshua Payne (guitar) and Dave Payne (upright bass)
