Listen "Salt Lake Pops Quartet"
Episode Synopsis
The Salt Lake Pops Quartet is the ambassador ensemble of the larger, similarly named, SALT LAKE POPS ORCHESTRA: a 50 piece YouTube sensation whose videos have garnered over a million views. The orchestra fuses classic instruments with modern technology; and is sometimes called the “i-pad orchestra” because of the director’s penchant for swapping out fingerboards with electronic tablets.

Between LIVE performances of hit songs like Evanescence’s “Bring Me to Life” and One Republic’s “Counting Stars” Steven Kapp Perry chats with the quartet about Bengal Spice tea and which Beatle is best (obviously Paul) to musical shoot-outs and helicopter rides.
