Ever heard of the 7 deadly sins of horn playing? Or a major flute solo on a heavy metal album? And how long can you spin a cookie sheet on your finger? Steven Kapp Perry takes the conversation beyond the professorial with the talented, charming and knowledgeable musicians of Orpheus Winds: BYU’s Faculty Woodwind Quintet. Oh, and there’s music too (of course). The ensemble plays Albert Roussel’s “Divertissement Op. 6” and living composer Richard Faith’s “Sextet.”

Orpheus Winds regularly performs for their students and peers in BYU’s Madsen Recital Hall. And they’ve performed works old and new on their national and international tours of Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico and Brazil.
