Michael Gurt is piano faculty at Louisiana State University. He holds music degrees from Julliard and the University of Michigan, and has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Chicago, Utah, Baltimore, and Memphis Symphonies. A teacher of master classes in both the US and South America, he was also a 1st place prize winner at the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition.
In between beautiful piano selections, Michael chats with host Steven Kapp Perry about Brazilian music, mistranslations, and the influence of dedicated fathers on a successful career.
