Listen "The Italian Cleaning Lady"
Episode Synopsis
In this podcast, I explain that it can be very problematic if one decides to take on the citizenship of a country and especially of a country where one is a resident. Henning, a German, emigrated from Germany to Malta seven years ago and has had only German citizenship. Since European Union law states that all citizens of member states have freedom of movement within the EU, Henning is granted the same rights in Malta as a Maltese citizen even though he does not have a Maltese passport. So why should he now seek and apply for Maltese citizenship? Does this make any sense? If you would like to find out more, visit the Heyrolf art exhibition at www.heyrolf.comSend us a textSupport the show
